A man suspected to be involved in the murder of a police constable was fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with lawmen in Buttock Prospect, Manchester this morning.

Dead is 33-year-old Carey Douglas otherwise called little ‘Dawg’ and ‘Stickman’.

Douglas was the the main suspect in the murder of police constable Mario Thomas who was killed on June 19.

Head of the Manchester Police, Deputy Superintendent Carey Duncan said a firearm was seized during the incident.

Deputy Superintendent Duncan noted that the security forces continue to pursue criminals in the parish.

He urged suspects to refrain from resisting lawmen when attempts are being made to apprehend them.
