The local football fraternity has been plunged into mourning after it was confirmed that former boys Town, Harbour View, and Humble Lion midfielder Rafique Thomas was shot and killed last night at his house in Denham Town. 

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remains unclear, but a check with the Denham Town Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) by Irie Fm Sports this morning, confirmed that police are now processing the scene and investigations are being carried out into the matter. 

Irie Fm sports can also confirm that a second person was injured in the shooting and has since been hospitalized. 

Thomas who last played for humble lion in the Jamaica Premier League, won the Ksafa super league with Boys Town last season, ……….and was with the club celebrating when they defeated JDF on Sunday to retain their Ksafa/Super League Crown at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex. 

President of Boys town FC Andrew Pryce said the Boys Town Fc organization is in a state of shock.
