Leon Bailey named in Reggae Boyz squad for Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals against USA

Aston Villa forward Leon Bailey has been included in the Reggae Boyz squad for the upcoming Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals against the United States.

Bailey, who has not featured for the national team since November 2023 due to suspension and a self-imposed break,made himself available for selection for the games against Nicaragua and Honduras in the October window but was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

Striker Shamar Nicholson, the other notable absentee from the October window, is also back in the squad having requested time to get back to full fitness after missing out on a proper preseason with Russian club Spartak Moscow.

The list of forwards also includes Romario Williams, Demarai Gray, Renaldo Cephas and Michail Antonio.

The goalkeepers are Andre Blake, Jahmali Waite and  Shaquan Davis, while the defense comprises Dexter Lembikisa, Tayvon Gray, Damion Lowe, Mason Holgate, Ethan Pinnock, Richard King, Dishon Bernard, Amarri Bell and Greg Leigh.

In midfield it will be Joel Latibeaudiere, Isaac Hayden, Karoy Anderson, Kasey Palmer and Tyreek Magee.

The upcoming game which is the first leg of the two-way quarterfinal takes place on Thursday, November 14 at the National Stadium in Kingston.

The teams after Thursday’s first leg will leave the island on Friday for the return leg at City Park Stadium in Missouri on November 18.
