Leon Bailey could feature for Aston Villa today against ‘Young Boys FC’ in Champions League
Reggae Boy Leon Bailey could feature for Aston Villa today against ‘Young Boys club’ after recovering from a hamstring injury.
The confirmation came from head coach Unai Emery at his press conference on the eve of Villa’s first Champions League new league phase encounter against the seventeen-time Swiss Champions.
He is in the squad, we’re going to train now (at Stadion Wankdorf) and hopefully he’ll feel good.
“Tomorrow we’ll decide if he’s playing minutes or in the starting XI.
“But it’s good news.” Emery said on Monday.
The Jamaican winger picked up the injury over two weeks ago in Villa’s 2-1 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
He subsequently pulled out of international duty with Jamaica against Honduras in the Concacaf Nations Legaue recnetly in Tegucigalpa before then missing Villa’s victory over Everton last the weekend.
Aston Villa is scheduled play another six games in all competitions across the next three weeks before the next FIFA international window in October.
