Legal fraternity and PNP in mourning following death of veteran attorney Valerie Neita Robertson

The People’s National Party (PNP) has expressed sadness at the passing of veteran attorney-at-law, King’s Counsel Valerie Neita-Robertson.

Mrs. Neita-Robertson reportedly passed away today following a battle with cancer.

She was 71 years old.

The PNP described Mrs. Neita-Robertson as a stalwart whose unwavering commitment to justice and public service has left an indelible mark on Jamaica.

In 1986, she began her political journey as the councillor for the Papine Division in the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation.

In 2019, Mrs. Neita-Robertson embraced the role of constituency caretaker for West Portland.

PNP President Mark Golding, in expressing condolences said her unwavering dedication to justice and her significant contributions to the party and nation will forever be remembered.

Meanwhile, PNP General Secretary Dr. Dayton Campbell and Opposition Spokesperson on Justice Senator Donna Scott-Mottley also paid tribute to Mrs. Neita-Robertson.

While, PNP Chairman Dr. Angela Brown Burke said the party remains committed to upholding the values and principles that Mrs. Neita-Robertson championed.
