Leesha Delatie-Budair is the new Director-General of the Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN).

This took effect yesterday.

In a statement, STATIN said Ms. Delatie-Budair has been pivotal in modernising Jamaica’s statistical systems to meet international standards.

This is due to her robust background in economics and statistics, as well as her extensive experience in official statistics and leadership.

Chairman of the Board of Directors for STATIN, Robert Stennett, expressed confidence in Ms. Delatie-Budair’s leadership skills and her ability to chart the organisation’s next phase of growth.
