Meanwhile, promoted Racing United missed out on returning to the playoff group when they went down 3-nil to second place Mobay United.
A brace from Owayne Gordon paved the way for Mobays win, while Peter Lee Vassell was also on the scoresheet for Mobay United.
On Sunday Arnett Gardens suffered a setback to their push for an automatic semifinal berth, as they were beaten 2-1 by Portmore United at Ferdie Neita Park .
In other games Waterhouse defeated Humble Lion one-nil, to maintain their grip on the final playoff spot ahead of Tivoli Gardens who are a point behind in 7th after they came from behind to notch a 2-1 win over Vere United who are on the brink of becoming the first team to be relegated this season.
Elsewhere, defending champions Cavalier played to a 2-all draw with Harbour View, while relegation threatned team Molynes United beat Dunbeholden one nil.
