Attorneys for Senior People’s National Party member K.D. knight are demanding a public retraction and apology from Jamaica Labour Party Campaign Manager Dr. Christopher Tufton, in relation to the playing of an audio at the recent JLP meeting in Half Way Tree.

It has been indicated that the recording played was not the original.

Mr. Knight had earlier signalled his intention to file a law suit against Dr. Tufton.

A letter from law firm Knight, Junor and Samuels, on behalf of K.D. Knight, was sent to Dr. Tufton, yesterday.

It stated that responsibility must be taken for the defamation of their client.

The attorneys said they are prepared to negotiate a settlement and expect that the apology and retraction will be agreed before midday Friday August 15.
