Lands have been identified for the development of a new building for the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).

Health minister Dr. Christopher Tufton pointed out that having learnt lessons from the renovation works on the Cornwall Regional Hospital in St. James, the government is taking a different approach for the KPH, which is Jamaica’s oldest hospital.

Making his contribution to the sectoral debate in parliament today, Dr. Tufton said the National Land Agency is coordinating the compulsory acquisition process.
