Labour Minister Pearnel Charles Junior says he expects that there will be a rebound in the overseas work programme for the upcoming year.
There was a falloff in Jamaican workers engaging in the programme this year due to a number of global challenges.
Speaking during a HEART NSTA Trust graduation ceremony in Mandeville recently, Mr. Charles Junior explained that amidst difficulties faced by the global labour market, the Labour Ministry took the necessary steps to strengthen the programme.
Meanwhile, the Minister assured the graduates that provisions would be made to facilitate 25 percent of the graduating class in the overseas work programme.
