KSAMC to meet with Crab Circle vendors following reported return of vendor Alice
The return of controversial vendor Alice Waugh to Crab Circle in Kingston, has prompted the Municipal Authority to seek verification of licence possession by persons who sell in the area.
Ms Waugh had left crab circle amid public outrage after she was reportedly caught on camera engaging in an unsanitary act.
She was charged with Breaching the Public Health Act and fined $2,500.
Reports emerged on Tuesday that she has returned to her stall at Crab Circle, which set off a firestorm of comments on social media, with some persons suggesting that she should not be allowed there, while others said she deserves forgiveness and redemption.
Chief Executive Officer at the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, Robert Hill said a meeting will be held with the vendors at Crab Circle today, as the municipality seeks to regularize the space.
