Motorists will soon have access to more street parking in Downtown Kingston, following an agreement between the Kingston and the St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, KSAMC and the Jamaica Stock Exchange, JSE. 

Under the memorandum of understanding the JSE will manage an area along Gold Street.  

Mayor of Kingston Andrew Swaby stated that the partnership is aimed at improving Downtown Kingston.

This in the wake of concerns about criminal activity on Gold Street, and complaints about limited parking in the area. 

Meantime, JSE Managing Director Dr. Marlene Street Forrest noted that access to parking is key to revitalizing the area.
