The Kingston Central police have increased their presence in the division following a fatal shooting incident on Sunday.

An unidentified man was fatally shot and another wounded in a confrontation with the police during an alleged robbery.

This is the third shooting death in the division since the start of the year.

Head of the division Superintendent Berrisford Williams told Irie Fm news that police presence has been beefed up in the area to prevent crimes.

Superintendent Williams who noted that two murder incidents which occurred in the division this year, are gang related, called on citizens to work with the police.
