Kingston and St Andrew Football Association seeks new leadership after Wayne Shaw resigned
Following weeks of speculation Irie FM sports can now confirm that President of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association Wayne Shaw has officially resigned.
Shaw made the announcement last night during a meeting at the Bank of Nova Scotia sports club with his affiliates.
The move comes after weeks of reports, where constituents of Ksafa have accused Shaw of not giving them his full backing on their decision to not support the JFF National/Tier two football qualification system for the Jamaica Premier League.
Ksafa is the only local parish affiliate who did not participate in the newly formed JFF tier two competition when it was first announced.
Other issues include what the affiliates charge, was lack of transparency and an unwillingness to report the details of JFF meetings which Shaw regularly attends.
Vice president of Ksafa Carvel Stewart explains what will happen in short order.
The resignation of Shaw will officially take effect after that Special General Meeting on November 12.
