Khadija “bunny” Shaw signs contract extension with American sportswear giant Nike
Talismanic reggae girlz and Manchester city striker Khadija “bunny” Shaw has signed a contract extension with American sportswear giant Nike.
Shaw made the announcement via social media yesterday but did not reveal the terms and conditions of the deal.
The former St. Jago and University of Tennessee standout first put pen to paper with Nike in 2019, after leading the Jamaican team to its historic first FIFA Women’s World cup qualification in France in October 2018.
A move that saw her becoming the first female player from the Caribbean to sign such a deal.
Extending her deal sees her remaining among a star-studded group of athletes sponsored by Nike including Alex Morgan, Carli Lloyd, Phil Foden, virgil van Dijk Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappé.
The 26 year old will next be in action for Manchester City who face Tottenham in the Women’s Super League on Sunday.
She will also be a part of the reggae girls team that will feature at the upcoming fifa women’s world cup in Australia and New Zealand.
