Khadija “Bunny” Shaw crowned Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Women’s Player of the Year

Reggae Girlz star player and Manchester City forward Khadija “Bunny” Shaw has won the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Women’s Player of the Year award in England.
It is a second win in three seasons for the former St. Jago High and Harbour View Women’s FC player, who earlier this year secured her third consecutive Women’s Super League (WSL) Golden Boot title with 21 goals, helping Man City to their first WSL championship title in 10 years.
In the meantime, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes won the Men’s PFA Players’ Player of the Year title.
Playmaker Fernandes broke the all-time record for Premier League assists during an outstanding 2025-26 campaign, setting up 21 goals. He also became the Red Devils’ first winner of the award since Wayne Rooney took home the trophy in the 2009/10 season.
The award adds to Fernandes’ Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year honour, which he received in May.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Olivia Smith picked up the Women’s PFA Young Player of the Year title for the second campaign running, while Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly was named Men’s PFA Young Player of the Year following an outstanding campaign that ended with the versatile talent helping England to win World Cup bronze.
