Kartel silent on Carnival controversy, sparks breakup rumors
Vybz Kartel remains tight-lipped following backlash from some Trinidadian fans regarding his inclusion in Carnival week festivities next year.
Currently in Trinidad for the launch of his Straight Vybz Rum, Kartel was approached for comment on the issue but declined to respond.
Last week, entertainer Yankee Boy voiced strong opposition, claiming Kartel’s booking for the One Caribbean Festival could overshadow Trinidad’s Soca culture.
In other news, Kartel’s trip to Trinidad alongside fellow entertainer Sandra Rose has sparked rumors of a breakup with his fiancée, Sidem Öztürk. A photo posted by Kartel featuring Sandra Rose with visible bite marks on her neck and shoulder, has only fueled the speculation.
Sidem added to the drama with cryptic posts on Instagram, sharing messages like, “The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still” and “Put your love and faith into God, and you won’t be left high or dry.” She even ended one post with the word “Bye.”
Kartel has also shared photos with dancers Rennae 6:30 and Sher, keeping fans buzzing online.
Meanwhile, excitement is building for Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert, set to take place on New Year’s Eve at the National Stadium in Kingston.
