Kansas City Chiefs faces Baltimore Ravens in 2024/2025 NFL season kick off

This evening’s clash takes place at Arrowhead Stadium and is a repeat of last season’s AFC championship game.

It’s also a match-up between two of the league’s best quarterbacks Patrick mahomes of Kansas City and the Raven’s Lamar Jackson….the reigning league MVP.

Mahomes holds a decisive 4-1 advantage in head to head meetings.

The Chiefs, having won back to back titles are bidding to become the first North American Franchise to three-peat (win three titles in a row) since the Los Angeles Lakers achieved the feat between 2000 to 2002.

The Ravens, meanwhile are chasing their first title since 2012.

The action on match day one continues tomorrow with the Green Bay Packers facing the Philadelphia Eagles at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Another 13 games will be played on Sunday.

The lone game scheduled for Monday features the San Francisco 49ers up against the New York Jets at the Levi’s Stadium .
