The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will be launching a new rural stage carriage route come Monday.

The new route, numbered 605, will run from Linstead to Spanish Town via Bog Walk and Angels.

The company says it’s a direct response to the growing demand for convenient and affordable transportation in rural areas.

JUTC Corporate Communications Manager, Shantole Thompson says to support the launch of the new route, the company’s team will be on location at Rose Duncan Park on Monday to assist with smarter card top-ups.

The Linstead route follows the JUTC’s recent resumption of service to May Pen in Clarendon and the launch of operations in St. Thomas.
