Justice Minister urges citizens to engage in violence-free campaign leading up to the general election
With the next general election constitutionally due in September of this year, Justice Minister Delroy Chuck has appealed to Jamaicans to ensure that the campaigning leading up to the polls is violence-free.
Speaking at a church service in Mandeville on Sunday, Minister Chuck pointed to verbal clashes amongst politicians but noted that they do not fight each other.
He said Jamaicans should model this example and ensure the upcoming elections are peaceful.
