JTA urges parents to be active in their children’s education this year
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association, JTA, is urging parents to be active participants in their children’s education this year.
Newly installed president, Lasonja Harrison, notes that parents need to invest in their children’s education, and ensure that they participate in school activities.
She adds that parents must ensure that they engage with their children’s teachers where there are concerns.
Meanwhile, Mrs Harrison notes that parents must pay attention to the needs of their children.
She is urging parents to return to sending their children to Sunday and sabbath school to aid in their spiritual development.
