JTA President Elect LaSonja Harrison says the Association will continue to lobby unapologetically for improved salaries and conditions of service for members

President Elect of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association, LaSonja Harrison has stated that the Association will continue to lobby for improved salaries and conditions of service for members.

Speaking at the JTA’s 62nd Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony in Kingston on Wednesday, she highlighted several issues the JTA has advocated for which have strengthened the country’s education landscape.

She said the Association will unapologetically maintain its lobby efforts.

The event is being held under the theme: Safeguarding the future of education: adapting to the changing landscape.
