President of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association Mark Malabver has called on teachers to conduct themselves with dignity and professionalism.
He made the statement during the JTA’s official back-to-school message.
The JTA President urged his colleagues to continue motivating students and providing guidance despite the numerous challenges.
He also told his colleagues that as salary negotiations continue, the Association remains resolute in representing them.
In the meantime, he called for the inequitable funding of education to end, noting that some schools are well-resourced while others struggle.
