JTA mobilizes national hurricane relief response
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) has mobilized relief efforts to support members and contribute to nationwide aid, following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
In a statement, JTA President Mark Malabver noted that the association stands in solidarity with all Jamaicans, especially teachers, students and their families.
He said the JTA’s national relief response includes coordinating the collection and distribution of items, as well as engaging diaspora partners and regional education groups.
