The Jamaica Stock Exchange has signalled its intention to achieve another milestone in about 3 years, that of having 200 companies listed.

The JSE celebrated its 100th milestone during an official ceremony in Kingston yesterday (September 1), with the listing of Ed-tech company, One and One Educational Services.

Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director of the JSE, Marlene Street Forrest noted that although it took over fifty years for the entity to have 100 companies listed, the hope is that the current listing will be doubled soon.

Mrs. Street Forrest noted that market education will play an integral role in the growth of company listings.
