JPS teams working to restore power in Bog Walk following train derailing incident
The Jamaica Public Service says teams are still working to restore power supply to several customers in sections of Bog Walk and surrounding areas in St. Catherine, following a train derailing incident earlier today.
The bauxite train derailed and some of its box cars fell into the Rio Cobre.
It brought down some utility poles and wires in the area.
JPS Director of Communications Winsome Callum said its hoped that power will be restored to the majority of the affected customers by 7:00 p.m.
She said some customers will be out of power for a while longer.
