47 candidates were nominated today for the Jamaica Progressive Party (JPP).

The Jamaica First Movement (JFM) and the Jamaica Progressive Party have joined alliance to contest the upcoming general election.

Speaking with the IRIE FM News, the Party’s Spokesman Reverend Al Miller expressed satisfaction with the number of candidates.

He said at least one candidate missed the nomination, because the road was blocked due to political activities.
