Former Wolmer’s Girls standout Jonielle Smith flew the Jamaican flag high on Tuesday, emerging as the lone Jamaican winner at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meet in Luzern, Switzerland.

She held off Italy’s Zaynab Dosso, who finished second in 11.24 seconds.
In the women’s 100m hurdles, rising star Kerrica Hill impressed with a new personal best 12.54 seconds to finish second behind Switzerland’s Ditaji Kambundji, who won in 12.49 seconds.
Former Olympic champion Hansle Parchment also made the podium in the men’s 110m hurdles, clocking a season’s best 13.26 seconds to finish third. The race was won by American Trey Cunningham in 13.22 seconds.
