Jodi-Ann Ward and Giants Netball suffer third loss in Suncorp Super Netball league
Sunshine Girls defender Jodi-Ann Ward had 2 gains and a pair of intercepts, but was unable to prevent Giants Netball from crashing to a 63-44 loss to the Melbourne Vixens to close out the action in round 3 of the Suncorp Super Netball league in Australia.
The result saw the Giants remain at the foot of the table without a point after 3 defeats to open the season.
The undefeated Vixens, led by Sophie Garbin who converted 39 of 45 shots, are now on maximum 12 points from 3 games but are second on goal difference behind a red hot West Coast Fever team, led by five-time MVP Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard and which also includes Shanie Beckford and Kadie-Ann Dehaney.
Rounding out the top 3 is defending champions Adelaide Thunderbirds with Shamera Sterling-Humphrey, Latanya Wilson and Romelda Aiken-George, on 8 points, having recorded 2 wins and a loss in their 3 outings to date.
