JMDA says meeting with Finance and Health Ministries was somewhat productive
The Jamaica Medical Doctors’ Association, JMDA says while its meeting with the Finance and Health Ministries on Monday regarding employment and compensation related issues was somewhat productive, there are still issues which it is hoping will be resolved soon.
Speaking with Irie FM News, JMDA President, Dr. Rene Badroe said during the meeting it was stated that doctors on contract should be made permanent by October 31, however, she said issues with remuneration remain.
She said the issue of overtime monies is also not yet settled.
Dr. Badroe expressed hope that the outstanding issues will be rectified soon.
