The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) says the results of its selection process in Western Westmoreland, yesterday will be announced soon.

Moreland Wilson and Garfield James are the candidates.

The JLP said party workers voted to assist in determining its candidate for the Constituency.

General Secretary Dr. Horace Chang said the Party is satisfied the democratic process worked well.

He noted that a review of the results will be carried out by the Party Secretariat today, and then the outcome will be formally announced.

Meanwhile, James is urging JLP supporters not to lose sight of the main objective of retaining the Constituency in the next general election.

Speaking with reporters, James called for unity and respect among party members.
