Jamaica Labour Party leader, Dr. Andrew Holness says his party does not undermine press freedom.

He made the declaration while responding to a question regarding criticism of local journalists by politicians, during the Leadership Debate on Thursday.

There were also reports that both the JLP and People’s National party objected to the participation of some journalists in the political debates.

Noting that his party does not undermine press freedom, Dr. Holness said he has stayed away from any negative commentary about journalists.

Meanwhile, PNP President Mark Golding said his party supports press freedom, fully.
