JLP Leader and Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, gets passing grade for his speech at JLP 80th Annual Conference
Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Leader and Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, has gotten a passing grade for his speech at the JLP’s 80th annual conference which was held at the National Arena in Kingston yesterday.
Attorney-at-law and political commentator Linton Gordon says with local government elections due, the Prime Minister was able to communicate well the achievements of his administration while carefully addressing negative issues.
Mr. Gordon believes the JLP Administration also signaled to the opposition People’s National Party that it has the resources to mobilize its supporters.
Mr. Holness in addressing the conference, spoke on a range of issues including the naming of a new ministry to tackle crime and violence.
Another political commentator, Kevin Obrien Chang, says the proposed new ministry is needed.
