JLP declares that it has the stronger and more capable teams for the political debates

With the National  Debates set to kick off tomorrow, the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is signalling confidence, declaring that the party has assembled the stronger, more capable debate teams to defend its record and present its vision to the nation.

Speaking ahead of the first of three scheduled debates, Campaign Chairman Dr. Christopher Tufton, expressed that the JLP’s representatives are well-prepared and best positioned to articulate the government’s achievements.

The first debate, which focuses on social issues, will take place tomorrow.

Representing the JLP will be Pearnel Charles Jr., Kamina Johnson Smith and Matthew Samuda.

They will face off against the People’s National Party (PNP) Team, of Damion Crawford, Raymond Pryce and Sophia Fraser-Binns.

The second debate, centered on the economy, is set for August 26.

The JLP will be represented by Fayval Williams, Dr. Christopher Tufton and Dr. Dana Morris-Dixon.

Going up against them from the PNP are Julian Robinson, Peter Bunting and Kisha Anderson.

The final debate, the leadership debate, is scheduled for August 28.

This debate will feature JLP Leader and Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness going head-to-head with PNP President Mark Golding.
