JLP calls on PNP to “Cease and desist” attempts to discredit election results
“Cease and desist”, that’s the call being made by the Jamaica Labour Party to the People’s National Party, in relation to what has been deemed attempts at discrediting the results of the general election.
The Party says these attempts include a call by the PNP for an independent review of the election process.
JLP campaign chairman Dr. Christopher Tufton described the PNP’s response to the election results, as sour grapes.
Speaking at a press briefing Thursday, Dr. Tufton pointed out that the PNP has made numerous claims about the election, without evidence.
He called on the PNP to do some introspection and focus instead on being an effective opposition.
Dr. Tufton said the PNP is giving the impression that alleged irregularities impacted their loss at the polls.
