JFF announces completion of 2024 Audit

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has announced the successful completion of its 2024 audit. In a press release issued today, the Federation shared the good news that the audit opinion has removed the “Going Concern” qualification that has been a long-standing issue for the organization.

A “Going Concern” qualification in accounting is a serious marker indicating doubts about a company’s ability to continue its operations over the next 12 months. This cautionary note has been a recurring feature of the JFF’s financial reports for many years, signaling concerns that the organization could face financial difficulties in the foreseeable future. However, the removal of this qualification represents a major shift and reflects the improved financial position of the Federation.

Dennis Chung, General Secretary of the JFF, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “I am pleased not only that the JFF continues to improve its financial position but also that the Auditor has seen it fit to remove the long-standing Going Concern qualification. It is important that we continue on this path, as optimal football development can only occur with a strong JFF.”

With the removal of the qualification, the JFF is now better positioned to secure increased investment, strengthen its programs, and further develop the national teams. It also enhances the Federation’s credibility with stakeholders, sponsors, and supporters, fostering greater confidence in its ability to manage its affairs responsibly.
