JFB pledges to support firefighters electrocuted in Kingston, yesterday
Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Stewart Beckford has indicated that the firefighters electrocuted while responding to a fire in Kingston, yesterday will get support.
Of the six affected firefighters, 3 remain hospitalized.
Their injuries are not considered life threatening.
Commissioner Beckford said the Brigade’s Chaplaincy Unit activated its support mechanism.
The fire and subsequent electrocution of the Firefighters are theorized to have been the result of electricity theft.
Commissioner Beckford has called on citizens to desist from stealing electricity.
