Students and staff at the Jessie Ripoll Primary School in Kingston have been plunged into mourning following the death of the institution’s principal, O’Neil Stevens yesterday.

The Principal and his wife, Camesha Lindsay-Stevens were killed in a motor vehicle crash in the United States.

In an Instagram post this morning, the school described Mr. Stevens as a beacon of inspiration and dedication.

It said his vision for excellence in education and his unwavering commitment to the holistic development of students left an indelible mark on the school community.

His wife was also described as a supportive partner and a cherished presence in the extended school family.

The school has advised that the institution will be closed on Monday, January 6.

It will reopen on Tuesday, January 7.
