JCTU indicates willingness to collaborate with Finance Ministry
The Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU) has written to Finance Minister Fayval Williams indicating its willingness to collaborate with the ministry’s team.
The collaboration is aimed at fostering policies that uphold the rights and welfare of all public sector workers.
The JCTU is the representative body for twelve member unions.
The umbrella group says it looks forward to advancing productive dialogue with the ministry, under Mrs Williams’ leadership to create sustainable solutions that contribute to national development and economic stability.
The letter notes that together, the two sides can address the challenges ahead effectively and embrace opportunities to strengthen Jamaica.
The JCTU says it welcomes the chance to engage in meaningful discussions on areas of mutual interest and to support the ministry’s goals for the betterment of all Jamaicans.
