JCSA still restive over wage talks with Government
Members of the Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) are still restive over what they say is the Finance Ministry’s delay in implementing claims outlined in their wage agreement.
The JCSA has been in wage talks with the Government for some time.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, JCSA President Techa Clarke Griffiths said the issue with the Ministry does not relate to a lack of agreement between both parties as there is consensus on all line items in the agreement.
She said the issue lies with the lack of implementation regarding those line items.
She said the JCSA has given the Finance Ministry notice, indicating its restiveness and disappointment with what she described as the Ministry’s tardiness.
To display their discontent with the Ministry’s delay, JCSA members say they will be wearing black on Friday.
