JCF teams break new ground at SWAT Roundup International

Jamaica’s SWAT teams continued their historic campaign at the 2024 SWAT Roundup International in Orlando, Florida, wrapping up Day 2 with performances that established them as formidable contenders on the global stage.

Both teams representing the Jamaica Constabulary Force – Department of Weapons and Tactical Training (DWTT) and JCF Specialized Operations – have made impressive strides at the six-day event where they compete against elite teams from around the globe in tactical law enforcement competitions.

The JCF DWTT, who surpassed the previous Jamaican record of 41 by amassing 79 points by the end of the second day, have cumulative time of 22:18.23s which placed them 33rd overall among the 50 teams and second among the six international teams competing.

JCF Specialized Operations, who are competing for the first time at the SWAT Roundup International, are positioned towards the lower end of the rankings with 20 points and a cumulative time of 36:25.90s.

The teams will now turn their attention to the remaining two days of individual and team competitions.
