JCF saddened by death of trainee Constable
The Police High Command has expressed sadness at the passing of a trainee this morning.
Dead is 35-year-old Desmond Thompson.
Thompson, a former District Constable, was undergoing training at the Tranquility Bay campus of the National Police College, to become a Constable.
Reports are that at 7:35 this morning, Thompson had just concluded his physical training session and was en route to his barracks when he collapsed.
On-site medical responders immediately administered CPR and transported him to the Black River Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The High Command has extended condolences to his family and colleagues.
