JCF launches AIR plan to restore hurricane-damaged police facilities

The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Accelerated Infrastructure Restoration (AIR) plan has been launched for the restoration of police facilities severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

The announcement was made by State Minister for National Security and Peace, Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn, at the official opening of the new, fit-for-purpose police station in Little London, Westmoreland on Friday.

She said approximately 140 police facilities were affected by the hurricane with 53 identified for emergency restoration, including 33 that sustained extensive structural damage.

She said repairs have already been made to some facilities in Westmoreland.
