JCF Chaplain urges officers to give their best effort to ensure fewer than 1,000 murders are recorded this year
Assistant Force Chaplain, Reverend Dr. Courtney Faulknor, has urged members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force to perform to the best of their ability to ensure that fewer than 1,000 murders are recorded this year.
Dr. Faulknor said while it is commendable that last year saw a 19% reduction in murders in comparison to 2023, there is more work to be done.
He also issued a stern warning to gangs and other offenders.
He was speaking at the Annual Commissioner’s Devotional Exercise at the Police High Command Headquarters in Kingston this morning.
The devotion was held under the theme, “Transforming the Present, Securing the Future.”
