Jamaica Volleyball Association (JaVA) General Secretary, Audley Weir, has been selected to participate in the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Advanced Sports Management Course, in collaboration with Olympic Solidarity and the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA).

This advanced course, designed for staff and volunteers of National Federations and other organizations driving sports development, is a key opportunity for leaders like Weir to enhance their knowledge and skills in sports management on the global stage.

Weir’s journey began as a committed volunteer to his current role as an executive member of the Jamaica Volleyball Association.

His involvement extends beyond national borders, with Weir also serving as a member of the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association’s (CAZOVA) Public Relations & Marketing Committee, alongside his roles in two NORCECA Commissions: Technical, Statistics & VIS, and Beach Volleyball.

JaVA expressed their pride and excitement in a recent statement shared on social media, saying, “We extend congratulations to Audley and look forward to the knowledge and expertise he will bring back to benefit the volleyball community in Jamaica.”
