Jamaica’s under 17 Reggae Girls slam St Vincent and the Grenadines 5-nil
Jamaica’s under 17 Reggae Girls recorded their biggest win so far at the Concacaf Under 17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers at the Guillermo Prospero Trinidad Stadium in Oranjestad, Aruba on Thursday.
This after they slammed St Vincent and the Grenadines 5 -nil in their group D’ contest to remain unbeaten and stay second behind leaders Honduras.
The vicnentian defender Nalia Kydd granted the Reggae Girls the lead when she turned the ball in her own net on minute 38, before the lead was doubled when Jaya Lecky converted a penalty just before the break.
On the resumption, Malayna Johnson-Mighty added a third in minute 54, while Kalila Daley pushed Jamaica’s lead to 4- nil in the 68th minute, and Shennel Walters placed the icing on the cake a minute later.
It was the second win for the Reggae Girls following a 2 nil win over Aruba earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Guyana tightened their grip in third place with a 2-nil win over Aruba who are yet to taste victory after three outings.
Honduras who leads the standings on maximum 6 points was idle on the day.
The final set of games in the preliminary round, will be staged on Saturday.
