Jamaica’s ten member team gets ready to compete in 45th World Chess Olympiad in Hungary
Jamaica’s ten member team will leave the island later this week to compete in the 45th World Chess Olympiad which takes place from September 10-to-23 in Budapest, Hungary.
The Jamaica Open team will be led by Fide Master Joshua Christie on board one and includes Fide Masters Shreyas Smith and Jaden Shaw along with debutantes Raheem Glaves and Darren Mckennis.
The women’s team will be guided by woman Fide Master- Adani Clarke on board 1 and includes woman International Master Rachel Miller, Gabriella Watson and Debutantes Raehanna Brown and Arielle Mckoy.
The open team will be led by coach, Warren Elliott while International Master Ishane Matthews will accompany the women’s team as coach.
This year’s staging features 190 counties participating in the open section with over 180 countries in the women’s division.
