Jamaica’s Senior Sunshine girls wrapped up their final training session earlier today under the watchful eyes of coach Sasha Gaye Henry and video analyst Rob Wright at the Manchester Metropolitan University. 

This as they fine tune preparations for the first of two test matches against the England’s Vitality Roses in the Horizon Series at the AO Arena in Manchester, England starting tomorrow at 11 am Jamaica time. 

The Jamaican squad includes : Shanice Beckford, Mischa Creary, and Rhea Dixon who will lead the the attack, while the center court will be commanded by Abigale Sutherland, Khadijah Williams, Crystal Plummer and Theresa Beckford. 

Shamera Sterling Humphrey, Kadie-Ann Dehaney, Latanya Wilson, and Jody-Ann Ward will provide the backbone on the defensive end.

Meanwhile, England who are now ranked second in the world after winning the Taini Jamison Trophy in New Zealand in October – on home Soil, will feature the exciting goal defence Funmi Fadoju who had the most interceptions, gains and deflections in England’s domestic Netball Super League. 

the roses will also call on the services of goal attack lois pearson, who had an excellent season for manchester thunder, earning her the player of the season award . 

The Horizon series will take place over four years between the two sides, with two matches in England and two in Jamaica each year.
