Jamaica’s senior Sunshine Girls are in an upbeat mood as they prepare to face the England Roses in the Upcoming Vitality Netball series.
The local based member of the squad, and head coach Connie Francis…..departed the island on Wednesday, before meeting up with the Australian-based contingent which includes captain and star goal-shooter Jhaniele Fowler, Shimona Nelson and Kadie-Ann Dehaney.
The team as part of its preparation had a practice game earlier today.
Vice-captain Shanice Beckford while describing the mood within the team says they are ready to face England.
The three-match series tips off on Wednesday at the ao arena in Manchester before moving to London for games 2 and 3 at the Copper Box arena on January 14 and 15.
The Sunshine Girls are using the games to aid their preparation for the upcoming Netball World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa which gets underway on July 28 and runs until August 6.
