Jamaica’s National Beach Wrestling Team heads off to Brazilian Jiuitsu tournament in Spain
Jamaica’s National Beach Wrestling team is heading off today for the Brazilian Jiuitsu tournament in Madrid, Spain which begins on Saturday.
The 8 member team will be led by national champion Shiaeine Blake who is Jamaica’s top combat sports athlete.
Blake is also the top ranked grappler in the Caribbean with an extensive resume that includes winning the national Brazilian Jiujitsu Championship and has a second place finish at the Barbados Open Beach Wrestling Tournament.
The team also include former national and Caribbean Champion and bronze medal winner at the World jiu-jitsu championship player coach Bojan Dodik , along with vice captain Jonathan White, Roshawn Pinnock, Roberto Williams, Carson Thomas and newcomers Tiara-Kaye Woodbine and Adiel Haye.
